Zilco synthetic strapping. This headcheck is specificially designed for use with Hutton Overcheck Bit.
The combination of the bit and headcheck are said to be one of the most comfortable and versatile options, and are particularly good for horses who keep their mouths open when leaning into the check, or for young horses that carry their head too high and fuss with the bit.
Straps feed through the top slots of the overcheck (over the nose) and through the bottom slots of the bit (under the chin – but in front of the mouthpiece).
When a horse leans down into the check, the strap over the nose presses down and the bit is pulled up into the mouth. The chin strap keeps the mouth shut.
